Self Realization is the deep spiritual understanding and feeling that all Life is one. When you cannot hurt anyone, harm no life form without cause as in self protection, help without hesitation, it is then you are on the way to self realization. True self realization is when you see yourself in all things.

The vagaries of the mind and the let down of our human condition are anger, greed, jealously, pride, hate and lust. Remove that which lets us down and the spark of love which we are becomes bonfire of the Divine.

Sempai means higher level of karateka, while kohai means lower level. An egoist view of ones position, grade or experience in our dojo is not encouraged, as everyone is the same.Titles only show the more experienced people from those who have less experience. Although the seniors sit at the Joseki side of the dojo they must still bow in humility to those of a lower grade that sit in the shimoseki side of the dojo.

When you get hit by your partner in the dojo and it hurt, do not get angry at him or her for hitting you, rather get upset with yourself for not blocking. The best kumite karate-ka are those who have the most effective blocks. To hit another is easy, anyone can do this however, effective blocking is an art only a few can do well.

When someone attacks you verbally, do not get angry, if you do you are accepting this. The best method is to reject it by thinking to yourself that what has been said does not belong to you.
So the energy makes u Turn and heads back to the person who sent it.

In the nine aspects of karate-do, Awareness, Becoming and Being stand out to be the most important. These three can be applied to life as well. When you become aware that you are not the body and that it is just an instrument in this 3rd dimension plane of existence, we then move on to the second stage of self discovery, this is the becoming stage. Finally through self control, discipline, non attachment etc we reach the final stage called the Being or the I am or Divine stage.
