Change only to lead a better life, become a better person today than you were yesterday, and a better role model for those whom you act as a mentor too. This can only be done when we can recognise our faults, otherwise the ego will continue to tell us we are perfect.

I believe in the idea of strong discipline, yet gentle in physical training and getting the best of the students by gentle persuasion and motivation.

Sometimes it is important not to get involved in the problems of others who carry a heavy load of karma. I assisted someone once that was down on the doldrums,took him in as a student,lifted his spirits and guess what he almost dragged me down with him. Now he is back where he was supposed to be. As it is said you can give light to only those who are prepared to accept change and a change of attitude. If they have created their own destiny by finding themselves in deep water without knowing how to swim, they will drag you down like a drowning man, not all of us can be lifesavers.
